Summer is now officially over. With everyone back in town from vacation and kids back in school, fall is a great time to step up marketing for your small business. Although most of us will be missing the long, warm days, many of us are ready for Pumpkin Spice Lattes, costume parties, and Thanksgiving feasts!
We put together some ideas to help make the season a success.
Decorate for the Season
Decorating for the season isn’t just for retail stores—offices, restaurants, and many other types of businesses can benefit from a little decorating. Numerous studies have shown that businesses that decorate can help create a positive feeling for their customers.
Additionally, decorating helps boost employee morale, so this is a win for everyone.
Celebrate the Holidays
Halloween is just around the bend—take advantage of this fun holiday with your marketing. Thanksgiving is a great opportunity to show thanks to your customers and help strengthen your customer loyalty. Christmas will be here before you know it, too, so start marketing your business is now taking holiday reservations.
There are also some great, lesser-known, holidays that you can take advantage of as well. Happy Boss’s Day!
Small Business Saturday
Small Business Saturday, on November 30, is an outstanding day to brag about your small business. Many small businesses offer deals to attract new customers.
Score a Touchdown
Almost everyone loves football, and it’s easy to tie into most small business marketing in some way. For example, if you own a restaurant, offer a game day special to get customers to watch the game on your tv (and spend money in your business) instead of theirs.
Update Your Hours
Do your hours change seasonally? Check to make sure your hours are accurate on your website, Google, etc. You don’t want customers coming to your location just to be disappointed you’re closed or end up going to your competition because you’re now open later than you were over the summer.
Update Your Website, Too
Is your website looking outdated? Are you not getting the number of customers you’d like online? It might be a great idea to invest in your business this season.
Now that you have a starting point, it’s time to jumpstart your marketing for the season. Each chance you take at a fall-themed sale or offering is just another chance to see your revenue increase. Need some help with a fall digital marketing strategy? Reach out to us to see how we can help.
